HVAC Technician
We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated and experienced HVAC Technician for the installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. The technician will interact directly with customers in offering guidance on the appropriate system to meet their needs and must be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. You will travel to each client’s location to inspect their current equipment, identify problems with their units, and perform necessary repairs or routine maintenance. Candidates must be able to follow oral and written instructions and possess strong interpersonal skills when interacting with customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment

Inspecting current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety

Providing preventative maintenance and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems

Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services
-
Ability to troubleshoot and perform emergency repairs in a timely manner
-
Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
-
Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements

Assisting with customers' questions and concerns in a patient manner
REQUIREMENTS
-
3+ years HVAC technician experience

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Understanding of principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating

Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required

Proficient with manual and power tools
-
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work in tight spaces and routinely lift heavy objects
-
Capable of working on roofs and elevated areas
